The liliputians NYC Pin-Up Girl Sweetheart Appliqued Ladies Jeans were just featured on the French website in Le guide Shopping Pot aux Roses de la St-Valentin. This chic site features indie-made, must-have products. It is completely editorial and an honor to be included. Merci beaucoup!

Liliputians NYC, or should I say the liliputians NYC appliqued and bling Valentine’s shirts, were mentioned today on the cool blog Roxi’s Friends.

Roxi’s Friends is the creation of jewelry and stationery designer Roxi. This momprenuer not only manages to find time to create her fun designs, but also publishes two blogs. There is the Roxi’s Designs blog, which features her new creations, and Roxi’s Friends, which showcases indie designers and Roxi’s top picks for retro and vintage inspired finds. Gotta love that!

Liliputians NYC is thrilled to have its first print ad in the Feb/March issue of funkalicious BUST magazine. And Gwen is on this month’s cover - our favorite!

Nolé Style and Beauty is a luxurious and gorgeous new web site that showcases elite designers and artisans from all over the world. Inclusion on the site is by invite only, ensuring that visitors will only be viewing quality handcrafted goods. In addition to the main Nolé site, there is a blog with product reviews and in Feburary Nolé is launching the online magazine Nolé Mi.

Although liliputians NYC is not a member of Nolé, we were tickled to discover that one of our creations is currently featured in their Valentine’s Gift Guide. The Sweetest Heart spotlights four items in each of its eight categories, making it easy to find that perfect gift for your sweetie quickly. If you click on Apparel, you will find liliputians NYC’s Vargas Inspired Retro PIN-UP Decoupaged Denim Jeans for Ladies.

Nolé is a site to watch and an indulgence for style savvy shoppers. We love the look, the products and their motto. “You work hard. Look fabulous. Indulge yourself in Style and Beauty. NOLÉ.”

We would like to welcome three new retailers of liliputians NYC clothing and barrettes.

Purple, Pink and Orange is a delightful site that is a really a community of creative individuals and their handmade goods. There is an amazing selection of one-of-a-kind and small-run items, from clothing and accessories, wallets and handbags, jewelry and buttons, paper goods, art prints, bath products and now items for babies and little ones.

Uptown Girls, a boutique in Baton Rouge, Louisiana started carrying the liliputians NYC line of birthday shirts and The Little House in Kansas City, Missouri started selling a selection of the liliputians NYC bitty barrettes and hair flowers. Stop by and pay them a visit if you happen to be in the area and tell them we say “hello.”

We love hearts, polka dots, roses and bling and the newest liliputians NYC ensemble combines all of them! This outfit was made with Valentine’s Day in mind, but isn’t so Valentinish that it can only be worn once. It will work well beyond Cupid’s day.

The funky set is also available as separates. The Love Hurts shirt has a Swarovski crystal and studs design reminescent of tattoo flash with its old school heart, roses, love banner and dagger design. The skirt is a flirty little number is a red rose print with a contrasting black and white polka dotted hem.

Liliputians NYC was recently asked by Deborah Nolan, owner of Baby Starlet, to design a special pair of decoupaged denim jeans for her to wear to the Golden Globes. Deborah was invited to participate in the Golden Globes Boom Boom Room (the ultimate gifting suite for Hollywood mamas - proceeds benefited the Epidermolysis Bullosa Medical Research Foundation) and wanted something funky and unique to wear.

I was glad to be part of such a fun event. Athough Liliputians would not be attending, it would be fun to know that our jeans would be! Deborah and I got a chance to meet in person last December at the Bust Craftacular and discussed the details for the appliques. The theme for the jeans was to be pin-up girls with leopard print accents. Fun!

Here’s a look at the one-of-a-kind Pin-Up Girls Jeans made for Deborah. I liked the idea so much I was inspired to make a Pin-Up Girl and Rose appliqued shirt. The jeans and shirt have both been added to the liliputians NYC boutique and are offered in womens and girls sizes.

Liliputians NYC now has an ever growing collection of birthday outfits and birthday themed appliqued shirts and pants and skirts that are also sold separately. The first birthday outfit was so well received, that a second one was soon added, then another, and so on until there are now seven birthday sets to choose from. More designs are in the works and will soon be added to the site.

The newest additions are the Birthday Cakes skirt set and the Birthday Hearts and Rainbows pants set.

Spring is just around the corner. Snowdrops, crocuses, daffodils, tulips, and the like will be in bloom. Tending these blossoms will be kitschy, hardworking and industrious garden gnomes. There is a whole gang of the little guys in the liliputians’ garden!

They are the inspiration for the newest line of liliputians NYC appliqued shirts. There is a garden gnome fishing. There is a garden gnome with a wheelbarrow of flowers. There is a garden gnome swinging. One guy would be perfect for Easter, the garden gnome holding a bunny rabbit by a mushroom. And there is a crawling garden gnome. These whimsical shirts are available in children’s sizes and will soon be offered for ladies and men too.

In addition to the appliqued shirts, there are also some fun gnome-themed sets. One looks like an impressionist painting so it’s called Gnome in Monet’s Garden. There is also an appliqued jeans set called Gnome Gone Fishing for boys or girls. And the newest addition is Garden Gnome with Flowers, a pants set with blue and lilac rose blossoms and funky vintage fringe trim.

The gnomes are ready for spring! Are you?

Several new items have just been added to the liliputians NYC store. More items will be added weekly with many spring and summer designs.

First are a pair of Freshly picked Crocheted Cherry Barrettes for some yummy style. Groovy Peace Sign Barrettes were also added to the repertoire and would look great with the Appliqued Peace Sign Shirt, Peace and Denim Skirt Set, Peace Love and Denim Jeans Set.

For your little cat-loving art aficionados, the Matisse Kitty Catisse Jeans Set is now available as separates. You can now buy the appliqued decoupaged denim jeans separately as well as the cat themed appliqued shirt in long or short sleeves.
