Butterflies, rainbows, hearts . . . and tattooed girls
September 30, 2007 | New Designs | No Comments
What girl (little and big) doesn’t love butterflies, hearts or rainbows?
These stereotypical girlie motifs are given some street cred with the addition of tattooed girls in the newest liliputians NYC outfit. A retro tunic top (the fabric is simultaneously 70s fabulous and kitschy 80s with the Nagel-like girls) is paired with appliqued and distressed bell bottom jeans (complete with smiley daisy accents made from the grooviest vintage trim).

Beauty School Drop Out
September 27, 2007 | New Designs | No Comments
Beauty Queen, the newest liliputians make-up themed tunic dress just makes me think of that Grease song.
Fortunately our little girl is no beauty school drop-out but a happy pre-school attendee.

So your beauty queen can be decked out in a lipsticks, atomizers, blush brushes, eyeshadows, and compacts print dress. Groovy styling abounds with the notched neckline, side slit hem, flared sleeves, & hot pink accent stitching. The palette is yummy with turquoise blue, rose, hot pink, and a mod green all on a plum background poplin fabric. Wear it alone or with our striped, bellbottom leggings to make a groovy outfit!
Twin Lights Ride
September 24, 2007 | Out & About | No Comments
Liliputians is a labor of love, but when you work hard you should play hard too. Yesterday was the perfect day for doing so. It was an absolutely beautiful Sunday. The weather was in the high 70s. The sky was clear. It was sunny and there was just a slight breeze. It was the perfect day for a bike ride.

It was my first time riding the Twin Lights Ride, a gorgeous bike ride along the Jersey shore and back roads on Monmouth county. I opted for the 30-mile route, since I had my 3-year daughter along for the ride and the 3-hour ride is about all she (or I) can handle.
Afterwards, we had a fabulous seafood meal at Bahr’s (one of America’s oldest family-run restaurants) and enjoyed the scenery of the historic Twin Lights and boats in the harbor. It’s back to work today, but I’m revitalized from such a great day yesterday and love what I’m doing anyway.
More Daily Stroll Peas

Liliputians had the nicest surprise of seeing one of our new designs written about on The Daily Stroll, THE original online publication (and my favorite!) for the best scoop on baby, toddler, maternity & parenting goods.

Our Peas Peace Sign infant gown was featured (also available on shirts for big boys and girls) and accompanied by its vibrant photo. Thanks for the shout-out Liz! Peas out.

liliputians NYC Holiday Outfits for 2007
September 15, 2007 | New Designs | No Comments
Can you believe it’s 90 degrees outside and yet I’ve just added the first of the 2007 holiday outfits to the liliputians boutique?!? Hard to believe, but Christmas is only 106 days away. Wow!

Well the first holiday outfit (of a total of 4) has made its debut. Festive and formal in satin and silk this ensemble will please both mom and little one. The crimson red blouse is all about color with it’s vibrantly hued shantung silk. The matching twirl skirt is a Scottish plaid with an unexpected flocked floral overlay design. This is a full circle skirt made of silky soft satin with velvety soft flocking.
Birthday Outfits for Your Lucky Kid!
September 13, 2007 | Buzz, Sites to Visit | No Comments
Liliputians NYC has had the good fortune of being the subject of the Lucky Kid feature on the trend-spotting site Pinks and Blues. Pinks and Blues is the “place for Trendy and Ultra-Hip Daily Family Picks” with a pick for each day; lucky mama, lucky baby, lucky dad, etc., etc. You get the idea.
So, what caught their eye? Our Birthday Outfits! They wrote about the liliputians birthday outfits for both boys and girls. And they couldn’t have said it better, for those “other 364 special days, Liliputians NYC offers so much more for lucky boys, girls and mommies.”

Polka Dot Groovy Twirly Mushrooms
September 12, 2007 | New Designs | No Comments
We have a thing for groovy retro motifs like mushrooms, must be that child of the 70s thing. We also have an extreme love of polka dots. So it’s not surprising to see this latest creation in the liliputians boutique.

The Polka Dot Mushrooms Outfit is a twirly and fun affair. A little dressy yet still casual and very play friendly. Liliputians model Lily put it to the test for twirlability and gave it two thumbs up.
The chocolate brown and red ruffled shirt has a fun applique of the spotty fungi on the left chest. The matching denim twirl skirt is loaded with details; red topstitching throughout, red ric rac accents at the gathered tiers, and an abundance of dotted mushrooms appliques circling the flirty skirt. Looks great together or mixed and matched with the other mushroom items that are new for fall 07.
Peas on Earth
September 11, 2007 | New Designs | No Comments
Your little one can make a big statement without saying a word with the latest liliputians NYC design for little girls, little boys, and the littlest baby girls and boys.
Our Peas Peace Sign shirt has a peace sign applique of, you guessed it, realistic peas fabric. Kind of cheesey, but too hard for me to resist. . . It’s available on a long or short sleeved shirt for girls or boys in your choice of colors, long or short sleeves and sizes 6m to 8. It’s also available in your choice of colors on a long-sleeved gown in hot pink or baby blue in sizes 0-3 months or 3-6 months.

What a nice sentiment . . . peace on earth, green living, and a love of vegetables. So peas man . . .
