Why buy handmade? Here’s why. Buying handmade is better for people, better for the environment, and better for giving truly special and well-crafted gifts. The ascendancy of chain store culture and global manufacturing has left us all dressing, furnishing, and decorating alike. The connection between producer and consumer has been lost. Buying handmade helps you reconnect, have a unique item, and support an artisan vs. a large corporation.

Liliputians NYC extends a warm welcome to its two newest retailers;  Pekepeke Kiddie Goods Boutique and Twirl Shoppe.

Pekepeke is a super stylish brick and mortar boutique located in Uto-City Japan.  They’re now carrying a diverse selection of liliputians designs along with all sorts of other incredible items for fashionable mothers, kids and babies. I just wish I could stop by and say “hello” and do some shopping in person!

Twirl Shoppe is a fun online boutique that is the brainchild of Alyssa Jablonski, mother of four.  Inspired by her twirling daughter, her boutique carries all kinds of unique items for baby, mommy, gift giving, and now birthday girls with the addition of liliputians birthday clothing.

Another fun and oh-so-cute customer photo was posted to the liliputians NYC gallery. Check out the Pop Art Princess in her Marilyn Monroe Shirt along with her matching Norma Jeans. Hurry though, there is only 1 left of her cute outfit!

Michelle Kouzmine, mother of two and writer for the about.com Kid’s Fashion site, has chosen her picks for this year’s holiday season. Liliputians NYC is thrilled to have its Merry Modern Christmas Outfit be included as one of her picks for a nontraditional yet special Christmas outfit for your little girl.

Yes, more sweet themed creations have been cooked up in the liliputians kitchen! This time it’s two mix n’ match cherry themed outfits; Cherry Ice Cream Sundaes and Cherry Bling Leopard Spots.

Both sets have the same cherries on black ruffled corduroy pants. They have an easy fit, wide leg style and ruffled hems. They are as comfy as they are stylish! Pair them with the sparkly leopard spot top, complete with a glittery cherry design of Swarovski ruby, emerald and topaz crystals. Or give it a different look with the ruffled, empire waist cherry sundae top. And don’t forget to top it all off with our dotty cherry barrettes!

We’ve added several fun new Christmas shirt designs to the liliputians boutique. Your little one will love wearing them the entire holiday season. They are all unique and handmade to order and available in limited quantities. They also mix and match perfectly with several liliputians coordinating skirts and pants.

The first design is perfect for little ones with a sweet tooth (and parents with a sense of humor) as it features a Gingerbread Man who’s missing an arm. The Bitten Gingerbread Boy shirt can be customized too; with red lettuce edge ruffles or without, with long or short sleeves, AND it’s available on your choice of shirt colors (white, pink, light blue or lavender). Choose it for your little girl AND your little guy for a fun holiday photo.

The next holiday shirt design sounds as pretty as it looks. The liliputians Jingle Bell Reindeer Shirt has a sweet applique of a reindeer complete with sparkly red ruby nose and a shiny green collar with twinkling miniature green bells. As with most liliputians designs, the shirt is available in long or short sleeves, in several colors, and even without the ruffled edges.

Our last holiday shirt, Merry Modern Christmas, has a Scandinavian influence with its clean lines and minimalist motif of a dove of peace with holly wings. Make it your own by choosing the sleeve length, color and your ruffle preference.
