Spring is almost here (although you’d never tell that be the arctic temperatures in NYC of late) and we’re ready at liliputians! New warm weather designs are being added almost daily to the liliputians boutique. The latest of the new fashions are two mix and match outfits called How Does Your Garden Grow?
The skirt set is essentially two outfits in one with two very different looks. The full 50s style circle skirt (with a twist) is fully reversible; a hot pink and bubblegum pink damask print on one side and a pink and off-white retro print depicting silhouettes of children at play. Contrasting pink hem is seen on both sides. The matching shirt is simple and sweet with a touch of whimsy. An applique in the damask fabric is the silhouette of a little girl with watering can. Hot pink ruffled edges compliment the waist and sleeves (which are availabe in long, short or 3/4 length).
The pants set consists of the same girl with watering can shirt and is paired with the most exquisite wide leg pants. Pants have a slight flare and ruffled bottom hem. What makes them so special is the garden of hand crocheted flowers made by grandma. Each blossom is unique and one of a kind.

The newest liliputians birthday outfits and dress are all about cakes and pastries and strawberry goodness with teapots and doilies and polka dot roses. Yummy, sweet and a timeless treat!
There are three coordinating Dotty Roses Tea Party outfits to choose from; a fun pants set, a skirt set, and appliqued dress. The pants and skirt sets both come with a dotty roses number shirt that has either ruffled edges or sweet ribbon rose accents and skirt and pants with contrasting damask print hem. The dress has almost too many details to list - fully lined bodice, stretchy straps, appliqued band of roses at the empire waist, ruffled bottom with decorative stitching at the bottom hem and an applique of sweet tea party treats.
To top it all are several fun pairs of matching barrettes. Choose Red Roses on Pink, Teapots in Red and White, or Red and Pink Candy Stripes. Yummy!

For the little birthday girl with a sweet tooth we have the perfect ruffly skirt outfit - Birthday Petite Four Cakes and Polka Dots. It comes with a polka dot number shirt complete with the same number of petite cakes. The matching skirt has a polka dot waistband and ruffled bottom of the cakes fabric with a decorative ribbon accent. Yummy & sweet!
For the little guy, we have a birthday outfit that is all boy! What little boy doesn’t like monster trucks? Monster Trucks on Stripes consists of an applique number shirt in stripes and the same number of trucks. The matching pants have monster truck appliques around the bottom hems of each pants leg.
Since my daughter Lily was born, I’ve resisted pink, dolls, and other stereotypical girly fare. Her room was painted in nice neutral hues of sunny yellow and seafoam green. Her toy chest was filled with as many hot wheels and Tonka trucks as dolls. And her wardrobe was predominantly pants for practicality.
This is all out the window now! She’s 3-1/2 with a mind of her own (one that has her own ideas about her room, favorite toys, and clothing selections). She is girly girl and hear her roar! Of late, she demands to be called “Princess Kitty Cat Butterfly Girl” and requested a pink room fitting for the title. (We granted the request and spent a weekend redecorating her room to her liking last month - see the snapshot of the finished pink room complete with a flower canopy over her bed ). She only wants to wear dresses or skirts (so notice there will be MANY MORE dresses & skirts sets in the liliputians boutique). Oh and the pinker and the more ruffles the better!

Cupcake Knees is an outfit comprised of an appliqued number shirt & matching pants. Choose the number to be appliqued with fancy blue topstitching on your choice of a long or short sleeve relaxed fit blue tee. Then the same number of blue-frosted cupcakes are also appliqued on the front.
A pair of velvety soft, chocolate brown, babywale corduroy pants complete the ensemble. The pants have blue accent stitching and it’s all about the fun cupcake appliques on the knees.
